Growing in Chicopee - Pioneer Packaging, Inc.

MassDevelopment President/CEO Robert L. Culver today joined Mayor Michael D. Bissonnette at a check presentation ceremony to announce a $3,503,000.00 financial package for Pioneer Packaging, Inc. The company will use proceeds from a tax-exempt bond to purchase a new eight-color printing press and rotary patching and lining machine. The new equipment will allow the firm to expand its product offering and enter new markets resulting in the creation of three new jobs. Pioneer officials estimate the new equipment will be in place and operational by mid-July.

Pioneer Packaging, Inc has been a family owned business since 1946. “We are pleased to partner with Pioneer Packaging, Inc. and WestBank to support this historic, family owned business as it expands and grows in Chicopee” said Robert L. Culver, MassDevelopment president/CEO. “Pioneer has been a client of MassDevelopment for more than 25 years.
